Alisan Porter Wins The Voice 2016

The results are in, and Alisan Porter has won The Voice 2016! Christina Aguilera has become the first female coach to win the U.S. After a star-studded season finale, host Carson Daly revealed the results: Team Adam’s Laith Al-Saadi finished in fourth place, while Team Pharrell’s Hannah Huston ended up in third. This left it down to Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield and Team Christina’s Alisan Porter. Alisan had been the frontrunner early in the season, but declined at the same time Adam began to rise in the competition. Adam finished finale night in first place on iTunes, but this ended up not mattering to the final result, as Alisan still prevailed as the winner. This marks one of the few times the person at the top of the iTunes charts on finale night didn’t go on to win, with other notable instances being when Craig Wayne Boyd defeated Matt McAndrew, and Josh Kaufman defeated Christina Grimmie. Whitney Houston Hologram and Christina Aguilera Duet On ‘The Voice’

Christina Aguilera and a Whitney Houston hologram surprise performance has leaked on the internet. How disappointing! The Whitney Houston medley included: “I Have Nothing” and “I’m Every Woman.” Sadly The performance with Christina Aguilera was already taped, but it will not be aired.(It would have been a great moment for Christina) After Pat Houston nixed the idea here iw what she had to say:
We are so appreciative of the opportunity for the Whitney Houston hologram to appear on NBC’s The Voice with a talent pairing as extraordinary as Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists. Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect. Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.

Singer Prince dies at 57

Big Loss for The Music World Prince, the songwriter, singer, producer, one-man studio band and consummate showman, died Thursday at his residence, Paisley Park, in Chanhassen, Minn., according to a statement from his publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure. He was 57. No cause of death has been given. Last week, responding to news reports that Prince’s plane had made an emergency landing because of a health scare, Ms. Noel-Schure said Prince was “fighting the flu.” Prince, born Prince Rogers Nelson on June 7, 1958, was a man bursting with music — a wildly prolific songwriter, a virtuoso on guitars, keyboards and drums and a master architect of funk, rock, R&B and pop, even as his music defied genres. In a career that lasted from the late 1970s until the arena tour this year, he was acclaimed as a sex symbol, a musical prodigy and an artist who shaped his career his way, often battling with accepted music-business practices. Prince’s Top 10 hits included “Little Red Corvette,” “When Doves Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Kiss,” and “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World”; albums like “Dirty Mind,” “1999” and “Sign O’ the Times” were full-length statements. His songs also became hits for others, among them “Nothing Compares 2 U” for Sinead O’Connor and “I Feel for You” for Chaka Khan. With the 1984 film and album “Purple Rain,” Prince told a fictionalized version of his own story: biracial, gifted, spectacularly ambitious. Its music won him an Academy Award and the album sold more than 13 million copies in the United States alone. PRINCE RECEIVES AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD OF ACHIEVEMENT 1990

Kerli for V Magazine When Kerli makes a new album, she literally builds a world around it. Her epic, unforgetable videos are a mix of raver fairytale and underground revolt that have inspired superfans the world over to create the place in which they'd like to reside. She believes in creating her own costumes, stage sets, and even studio spaces, at times in collaboration with other talented crafters. The Ultra Music-signed artist has worked with everyone from Benny Bennasi to Demi Lovato, but for her most personal album to date, Kerli left the "L.A. rat race" for a secluded Estonian forest in order to build all of her sounds from scratch. While there, she tells us, the most complete world she's ever come up with was born. Here, in a video made and scored exclusively for V, Kerli shows us how it's done.

The Battle for Kylie

This world is only big enough for one “Kylie” according to pop star Kylie Minogue. Last August, Kylie Jenner filed a USA trademark application for the name “Kylie” under advertising, reports the World Intellectual Property Review. On February 22, the 47-year-old Australian pop star filed a notice of opposition to the 18-year-old’s application claiming approval will confuse audiences and dilute her brand. Minogue currently owns trademarks for “Kylie Minogue Darling,” “Lucky- the Kylie Minogue musical” and “Kylie Minogue.” The document also says she has owned http://www.Kylie.com since 1996 (it has been operational since 1998). The documents also point to Minogue’s trademark for “Kylie” for entertainment and music recordings. Minogue slammed Jenner by calling her a “secondary reality television personality” who draws criticism from Disability Rights and African-American communities. On Sunday, Minogue took to Twitter to cryptically address the trademark battle saying “Hello… My name is KYLIE #lightyears.” Last week’s opposition is only the beginning. Jenner recently filed papers to trademark “Kylie” under entertainment services.(FoxNews.com) May the better Kylie win! Social media was fast to start the hashtag #Thereisonlyonekylie
