Singer George Michael has died

SAD NEWS FOR THE MUSIC WORLD: George Michael, the British singer, musician and founding member of Wham!, died over the Christmas holiday, his publicist confirms to USA TODAY. He was 53. "It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period," read a statement sent to USA TODAY by Michael's London-based publicist, Connie Filippello. "The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage." The musician died in Goring, England. The BBC was the first to report Michael's death. The cause of death was heart failure, according to Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. The pop star's death stunned the entertainment community. His U.S. publicist, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press he had not been ill. "I am in deep shock," Elton John wrote on Instagram. NEW:Bonnie McKee “Stars In Your Heart”

After all the previously unreleased material surfaced online and finish the promotion of her EP “Bombastic“, launched back in 2015, American singer-songwriter and pop genius Bonnie McKee is ready to slay all your faves. The 32-year-old hitmaker is releasing a new single called “Stars In Your Heart“, which is apparently (fingers crossed) the lead single taken from her long delayed full length major debut album due out sometime next year. The track and its music video were planned to be released back in 2014, when it was properly recorded, but unfortunately it was canceled. The video was finally premiered exclusively on NYLON on December 16th. About it, she shared: "The video is based on one of my favorite cult classic films, the iconic Barbarella. I wanted it to feel as authentic as possible, with hand-built optical illusion sets, projections, and classic camera tricks rather than relying on the green screen to capture the zero gravity effect"

NEW: Christina Aguilera - Telepathy (feat. Nile Rogers)

Christina Aguilera teases and throws it back to the days of disco in her latest video, “Telepathy.” It’s her first solo vid in four years forever, but before you get too excited, some bad news: It's short and sweet, even though the song itself clocks in at the standard three minutes. She teamed up with legendary musician Nile Rodgers for the track, which is part of the soundtrack for Netflix’s original show, The Get Down. The series is all about disco and the evolution of hip-hop, so it makes sense the “Telepathy” video takes place in a colorful room complete with a disco ball — even if it’s just for a few seconds.

HOTT JOINT- Tinashe - Superlove

Get ready! American recording artist, singer and songwriter Tinashe is about to re-start the promotion of her long delayed second studio album “Joyride“, which is expected to be released sometime this year via RCA Records. Following the lead turned into another buzz single “Player”, and the second-turned-into-buzz “Ride of Your Life”, the 23-year-old star has confirmed her next shot which is called “Superlove“. The song produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart is now confirmed as the proper official lead single from the album and it’s expected to be released on digital retailers and streaming services on July 15th. It’s a cute bop totally influenced by Ciara. A breathy and quite radio-friendly R&B-flavoured unpretentious jam but sounds like an outtake of Keri Hilson. But, is this the best sound for Tinashe? I don’t think so. The Baywatch-themed music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis was premiered exclusively on MTV’s Snapchat

NEW: Britney Spears - Make Me... ft. G-Eazy

After weeks of teases and rumors, Britney Spears’ “Make Me” video is finally here. She promised it would be about female empowerment, and it sorta delivers as a love story-slash-lightly meta look at the casting process for Brit’s male eye candy sidekick in the video — apparently G-Eazy didn’t make the cut, so his appearance is spliced in during his verse. But of course the shots of Britney writhing and gyrating are the main draw. And if that doesn’t keep you interested, surely the clunky product placement will. “Make Me” is the lead single off Britney’s ninth album, Glory, out August 26. Watch below.

Christina Grimmie Dead After Being Shot at Orlando Concert

Singer Christina Grimmie, a performer on "The Voice" in 2014, has died after being shot at a concert venue in Orlando, Florida, Friday evening, her rep confirmed early Saturday morning. She was 22. The male suspect shot himself and is dead, Orlando Police Department public information officer Wanda Miglio said during a press briefing early Saturday morning. In a statement, her rep said, "It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gun shot wounds. We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning. If you'd like to give back to Christina's family in her memory, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe page in their time of need." Grimmie and the band Before You Exit were signing autographs and selling merchandise after their show ended at 10 p.m. at Orlando's Plaza Live Theater, when a man carrying two guns walked up to her and shot her, Miglio said, adding it was unclear how the suspect entered the venue with the firearms. Police responded to a call received at 10:24 p.m. that shots had been fired at Plaza Live Theater. Miglio said Grimmie's brother "immediately tackled the suspect, stopping him from causing any more harm to Christina and her fans. During the struggle, the suspect shot himself. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene....Her brother is a hero for saving and stopping him from not hurting anyone else," said Miglio. She added police are unsure where she shot, or how many shots were fired. Miglio said a motive is unknown. Orlando police released this statement following confirmation of Grimmie's death by her publicist: "With deep regret, Christina Grimme has succumbed to her injuries. We have no additional updates. The investigation is in its preliminary stages. We know there are many questions and we will do our best to answer them as the investigations unfolds." -ABC NEWS The Greatness Of Christina Grimmie
