Alisan Porter Wins The Voice 2016
The results are in, and Alisan Porter has won The Voice 2016! Christina Aguilera has become the first female coach to win the U.S.
After a star-studded season finale, host Carson Daly revealed the results: Team Adam’s Laith Al-Saadi finished in fourth place, while Team Pharrell’s Hannah Huston ended up in third. This left it down to Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield and Team Christina’s Alisan Porter. Alisan had been the frontrunner early in the season, but declined at the same time Adam began to rise in the competition. Adam finished finale night in first place on iTunes, but this ended up not mattering to the final result, as Alisan still prevailed as the winner. This marks one of the few times the person at the top of the iTunes charts on finale night didn’t go on to win, with other notable instances being when Craig Wayne Boyd defeated Matt McAndrew, and Josh Kaufman defeated Christina Grimmie.
